The Famous Giro d’Italia

If you’re looking for a destination for your next vacation, nothing is going to stack up to Italy in terms of all the experiences it has to offer. Italy sightseeing has always been world famous, of course, when you consider the countless historical monuments there are for you to see. Rome vacations are almost always spent doing at least a little sightseeing.

However, you should also keep in mind that Italy is home to a number of world famous events too, one being the Giro d’Italia. In English, it translates to “Tour of Italy.” This annual bicycle race is held mostly in Italy, though it will take riders through a few bordering countries as well. This race has been going on for over a hundred years and bring in some of the best riders from all over the world who will compete over the course of 23 days, spending 21 of them on bikes.

Thousands of spectators will line the roads throughout the race to cheer on their favorite cyclists. But there will also be plenty of events in town too, aimed at all the tourists who will be there.
